The 5th Annual Peekskill Rotary Cherry Blossom Festival & Plant Sale celebrates spring and the blossoming of 100 cherry trees at the Riverfront. The Rotary Club of Peekskill gifted the trees, valued at $80,000, to the city in honor of the Club’s 100th Anniversary. At the festival, you will see many Rotarians working the plant sale, children’s activities, raffle area, as well as making sure the many food trucks and vendor booths are accessible to all. This year, there will be a demonstration of how to build a stone wall with local students learning from experts from the Stone Wall Trust. All proceeds raised by the festival and plant sale go back to the community and to international needs via grants. Rotary is a non-profit and the largest provider of peace & fellowship scholarships in the world. The motto for Rotary is Service Above Self. Visit www.peekskillrotary.com for more information.
